The network aims to:
- strengthen the Nordic research community and its individual researchers and research students through knowledge exchange
- publish issues of academic journals and other joint publications
- develop joint research projects
The research group is interdisciplinary, including scholars from the disciplines of art history, business studies, consumer studies, cultural studies, design studies, ethnology, history, museum studies, social anthropology and sociology.
Academically the group has come together through the shared interest in everyday dress practices and the methodologically innovative approach based on user ethnographies. In addition, they share a commitment to draw wider perspectives concerning fashion, ethics, business, environment and research agendas with relevance for industry and society.
