Gudmund Hernes argues that the last half century has seen a dramatic change in public opinion on the environment and climate, indeed on the whole Earth’s condition and course. The report was commissioned by The Top-level Research Initiative in Climate, Energy and the Environment of Nordforsk to advance interdisciplinary research perspectives cutting across the natural and the social sciences as well as the humanities.
