Background material for the workshops will be inter alia the three policy briefs that were developed for NordForsk by NIFU and Technopolis in 2010 (Enhancing the Effectiveness of Nordic Research Cooperation, Nordic contributions in developing the ERA, Rethinking Nordic Added Value in Research).
The workshop May 26th will focus on the concept ‘Nordic Added Value’ in research cooperation, taking note of the EU-Commission’s development of the future Common Strategic Framework (CSF) for research and innovation financing. The workshop will contain a mixture of presentations of national (Nordic) responses to the CSF, as well as elaborations on the concept ‘Nordic Added Value’ in research cooperation by Dr. Erik Arnold (Technopolis). There will also be time discussions in smaller groups.
The seminar is free of charge, but participants are expected to cover their own travel expenses/dinner. Drinks will be served following the workshop, and all attendees are welcome to join us for dinner at 19.30 in central Oslo. A detailed program will be distributed.
