Call for proposals: Sustainable Urban Development and Smart Cities

NordForsk is now issuing a call for proposals under the Nordic Research Programme on Sustainable Urban Development and Smart Cities. The call has a budget of NOK 50 million and the deadline for the call for proposals is 4 June 2019.

The aim of the Nordic Programme on Sustainable Urban Development and Smart Cities is to promote cooperation between the knowledge communities in the Nordic countries in order to enhance opportunities and address challenges relating to sustainable urban development and smart cities. The main objectives of the programme are to enhance Nordic research collaboration and to fund excellent research with impact within and beyond academia. The programme seeks to develop innovative and interdisciplinary analyses and methods in studies of urban development smart cities and use of essential knowledge for successful implementation. The Programme is now issuing a call for proposals for research projects. 

Financial framework 

The total budget for the call is NOK 50 million, and the maximum funding amount that may be sought per project is NOK 12.5 million. Four research projects are expected to be funded. Funding will be granted for up to four years.
