The deadline for the first phase of the call within the Nordic Bioeconomy Programme - "Advancing the bioeconomy transition in the Nordic region" expired 16 March. The call received a total of 30 applications.

The programme plans to finance three Nordic Centres of Excellence on a budget of 90 million NOK. The Nordic Bioeconomy Programme aims to create new knowledge about how to stimulate and develop the transition to a society based on bio-economy in the Nordic countries.

Efforts to assess the submitted pre-proposals will be initiated shortly. The call text and information about which applicants are invited for phase two of the call, will be published in mid-June.
