Changes in the Danish Government

Earlier this week, the Prime Minister of Denmark, Lars Løkke Rasmussen, presented several changes in the Danish government. Former Minister of the Interior and Social Affairs Karen Ellemann (V) is Denmark‘s new Environment Minister and Minister for Nordic Co-operation. With this, she replaces one of the Danish government‘s most experienced ministers, Bertel Haarder, and places herself in the chair of the Nordic Council of Ministers.
 Changes in the Danish Government
- The Danish Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers in 2010 has already done a great deal of work to inject new political impetus to Nordic co-operation and to put this exceptional co-operation of the international map. I am looking forward to continuing this work and especially to finding joint Nordic responses to the major challenges of globalisation, says the new minister.

Charlotte Sahl-Madsen is appointed Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation. Sahl-Madsen leaves her position as Director of Danfoss Universe. Brian Mikkelsen leaves the position as Minister of Justice for his new position as Minister for Economics and Business Affairs.
