27.05.2010
The second call within the research programme "Climate Change Impacts, Adaptation and Mitigation in Nordic Primary Industries" focuses on health and genetic resources. Final submission date is June 14th.
How can the Nordic countries best prepare for the consequences of climate change on natural resources in our region? The research network programme "Climate Change Impacts, Adaptation and Mitigation in Nordic Primary Industries" contributes to promoting research within this field. The programme is developed by the Nordic Council of Ministers in collaboration with NordForsk.

The current call focuses on health and genetic resources within the main Nordic production systems; fishery/aquaculture, agriculture, forestry and food: Applicants are invited to submit applications within the following two themes:

• Plant and animal health
• Adaptation and utilization of genetic resources

Networks may also cover both themes.

Proposals must involve collaboration among at least three Nordic countries, or two Nordic countries and one Baltic.

The programme is part of the Nordic Prime Ministers’ initiative on globalisation, in which the Nordic countries seek new common solutions to global challenges. The final results and conclusions of the programme will be used in the preparation of a climate policy within the area.
