Criticism against Norwegian cut-back on industry research

The Norwegian Government receives criticism for having reduced funding for industry research. Also the investments in the Fund for Research and Innovation is being reduced compared to what the last Government proposed.
The new Norwegian Government presented its Amendment to the 2006 budget yesterday, and one of the proposals is to cut NOK 10 million in funding of industry research. This money tends to be followed up by considerable investments from the industries.

Also the investment of capital to the Fund for Research and Innovation is suggested reduced by NOK 25 billion to NOK 14 billion.
