Cuts in finance threat to Danish research

The Danish research councils state that the proposal for the Danish national budget (Finansloven) for 2002 will mean a cut of nearly 30 per cent in 2002 and 2003 for research financed by the research councils.
The Danish research councils state that the proposal for the Danish national budget (Finansloven) for 2002 will mean a cut of nearly 30 per cent in 2002 and 2003 for research financed by the research councils.

In addition, the universities‘ and sector research‘s financial situation is under pressure. Regarding the presidents of the research councils, the research policy of the government is not applicable to national and international social development, where knowledge and competencies are increasingly important.
