Danish scientists get 36 million DKK for equipment

The Danish research agency for nature and the universe has granted 36 million DKK for scientific research equipment. This will guarantee the best researchers access to the most advanced infrastructure. "We could have granted more and bigger funding for the applicants without compromising on quality," says chairman Lars Stemmerik.
The access to advanced equipment, laboratory and experiment facilities are preconditions for keeping Denmark among the top natural science environments in the world. "Quite in line with the Government‘s globalisation strategy we wish to prioritise investments in advanced equipment for natural sciences. We could even have granted more and bigger funding for our applicants without compromising on quality," says Lars Stemmerik.

"Yet again we have seen a considerable need for investments in equipment for Danish natural science. However, it is a pleasure to be able to accomodate the very best applicants," he thinks.
