Denmark: Nearly DKK 900 million to Research and Innovation

04.11.2005
A political agreement in Denmark allocates DKK 855 million to research, innovation and ICT over the coming 3 years. The money comes from a 2001 auction of licences for the third generation mobile network, umts.
The conditions on the agreement are that the party groups of the Labour Party, the Social Liberal Party and the Socialist Peoples Party accept the agreement with the Danish government.

”These allocations support both independent and applied research, innovation, research communication and new knowledge based fast growing industries", Minister of Science Helge Sander says. He is also pleased with the boost of effective public use of ICT the coming years.
