Finland: Government R&D funding of 1,7 million Euros

The Finnish government budget of 2006 shows that research financing amounts to 1,68 million Euros, an increase of 83 million Euros from 2005.
This gives a GDP share of 1,05 percent for public R&D funding. The Ministry of Education represents the largest increase with 44 million Euros, an amount that includes the share of the Academy of Finland. Tekes, the other financing agency, is included in the numbers of the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Its share of the increase amounts to 41 million Euros.
