Gudmund Høst appointed new director of NeIC

Gudmund Høst has accepted the position as director of NeIC. (Nordic eInfrastructure Collaboration). NeIC is a collaboration between the Nordic countries to facilitate good eInfrastructure for data storage and high performance computing.

Gudmund Høst comes from the position as special advisor for Science - Infrastructure, Theory and Applications (eVITA) in the Norwegian Research Council and is also Dr. Scient from the University of Oslo. He was a key resource person in the planning of the Nordic eScience Globalization Initiative. Høst holds the position as Chairman of the e-Infrastructures Reflection Group (e-IRG), which is an advisory board for eInfrastructure in the EU.

Gudmund Høst will take up the position August 1.
