The Senior Adviser for research funding will coordinate some of the most important programmes for Nordic research cooperation and will work with specialist groups that include some of the most prominent experts from the Nordic countries and Europe.

The Senior Adviser for research funding will have the opportunity to build networks through close cooperation with the national research councils of each Nordic country, and will contribute to the development of NordForsk as a key player in Nordic and international cooperation. The right candidate will also have advancement opportunities internally.

In addition to higher education, candidates for the position must have experience in research administration and/or research funding. The position involves tasks related to administration of research funding and grant application processing, and requires a structured approach, attention to detail and excellent cooperation skills. Candidates must have a good command of English (both written and spoken) in addition to one of the Scandinavian languages.

Employees of NordForsk are part of a unique work environment with highly skilled colleagues from all the Nordic countries. The position will require a certain amount of travel. Salary to be agreed.

The contract is for four years, with the possibility of extension. Civil servants in the Nordic countries are entitled to a leave of absence in order to work for NordForsk. Employees who have to relocate from outside Norway are entitled to a relocation package. NordForsk strives to ensure a good balance in the gender, nationality and age distribution among its employees. The place of work is located in Oslo.
