Historical Nordic initiative in personalised medicine
The call will promote the development of innovations related to the implementation of personalised medicine for Nordic citizens and health care systems. There are many issues that pose obstacles to such implementation, for instance in restrictions set out in the regulatory framework. The ability to provide personalised medicine in the Nordic countries is dependent on closer cooperation and good innovation networks, which in turn will require cross-disciplinary, cross-border cooperation between research, industry and the health care sector.
In the context of the call, innovation is defined as new products, services, markets, processes or organisational models that create financial benefits or are of value to society.
Innovations in Personalised Medicine: Towards implementation of personalised medicine in health care is the sixth call for proposals under NordForsk’s Programme on Health and Welfare.
