HUM/SAMF graduate schools established

NorFA‘s five-year initiative for graduate schools within the humanities and social sciences has now been launched. Five Nordic graduate schools will be established, each with a frame grant of NOK 1 million per year for five years.
NorFA‘s five-year initiative for graduate schools within the humanities and social sciences has now been launched. Five Nordic graduate schools will be established, each with a frame grant of NOK 1 million per year for five years.

The following graduate schools will be established shortly:
  • Dialogues with the Past. Graduate School in Archaeology (Lise Hannestad, Århus Universitet)
  • Nordic Research School in Library and Information Science (Olle Persson, Umeå Universitet)
  • Nordic Graduate School of Language Technology (Robin Cooper, Göteborgs Universitet)
  • Nordic Graduate School of mathematics education (Barbro Grevholm, Høgskolen i Agder)
  • Nordic Research School in Interdisciplinary Gender Research (Susanne V. Knudsen, NIKK)
The pupose of the graduate schools is to increase mobility in the Nordic countries, to strengthen research training, and to develop models to improve research training in the separate countries and in the region as a whole.
