Iceland: Everyone trusts the University

A new poll from Icelandic Gallup shows that 86 percent of the respondents say they trust the University of Iceland. This makes the University the most trusted institution in Iceland. Compared to this, the Police only is trusted by 79 percent.
Other institutions receive much smaller portions of public trust: The healthcare system is trusted by 73 percent, whereas 50 percent of the respondents say they trust the State Church. Only 40 percent trust the juridicial system and the parliament.

Similar polls have been carried out in Iceland since 1993.
