The Danish Government has appointed Inge Mærkedahl as new director of the Danish Research Agency. "I have great expectations for the new director. She is a result-oriented, competent and ambitious leader", says Danish Minister of Science Helge Sander.
During the last five years Cand. phil. Inge Mærkedahl has been director of the Danish School of Public Administration. Previously she has been the director of the National Labour Market Authority, a department director in the Ministry of Labour, and deputy director and research director of The Danish National Institute of Social Research.

"Like the universities and other public research institutes the Danish Research Agency too is going through a period of re-organisation in which the communication with the outside world will be developed further. I am confident that the new director will be a well-qualified captain also in this context", Helge Sander says.
