New association for gender research

The association for gender research in Norway, FOKK, aims to make gender researchers and their results more visible in Norway.
The association for gender research in Norway, FOKK, aims to make gender researchers and their results more visible in Norway.

The newly established association is greeted by the Research Council of Norway:
- The association is a valuable contribution to increase the awareness of the significance of gender at many levels in society. In addition, FOKK will function as a network for researchers and other persons interested in gender research, says adviser Hedvig Buene of the Norwegian Research council.

Jorid Hovden of the University College of Alta will be president of the board and the secreteriat is placed at KILDEN in Oslo.
