Haatainen (politices magister and nurse) has served as representative to the Parliament and as secretary general for Social Democratic Women in Finland. At the Ministry of Education, Haatainen is responsible both for educational and research related questions. the new Finnish government consists of the Social Democratic Party, The Centre Party of Finland and the Swedish People‘s Party.
