New Swedish Government Report on research

The Swedish Government recently presented Parliament a report on research: ”Research for a Better Life”. The Government suggests increasing funding for research and research education by SEK 2.34 billion.
The priority areas are medicine, technology and sustainable development. The Government also suggests strengthening Swedish research milieus that are already internationally competitive. Through collaborative R&D programmes with business partners and by granting funding for industrial research institutes and companies at colleges and universities, the Government intends to strengthen the transfer of knowledge from universities and colleges to the private sector.
