NordBib Launches New Call

The Nordbib programme opens a new call within the focus area for Content and Accessibility.
The purpose of the focus area (Work Package 2) is to support activities related to generating contents, creating access to research and learning resources, and addressing interaction and task distribution in connection with e-science.

Eligible participants are national libraries or research libraries in collaboration with universities, national digital library projects, research institutions, scientific societies, scientific academies or scientific publishers.

The collaboration projects must have the potential to ensure that the most specialised knowledge and know-how of the national and research libraries can be reused and made useful in other environments.

Target results are:

• Long term preservation of and open access to research data
• The Library of the future
• Automatic translation systems

The total budget for the call is DKK 1.600.000 and covers the project period 2008-2009.

Deadline for application is 1 September 2008
