Nordic climate research at COP21

At the 21st UN Climate Change Conference, known as COP21, the Nordic Council of Ministers and other organisations have a common Nordic pavilion highlighting new Nordic climate solutions to inspire politicians and other interested parties.

Professor Käyhkö heads the Nordic Centre of Excellence (NcoE) Tundra – How to preserve the tundra in a warming climate, while Professor Jaana Bäck is the former project coordinator of the NCoE CRAICC – Cryosphere-Atmosphere Interactions in a Changing Arctic Climate. The professors will present the important work carried out in these projects, both of which are funded under the Top-level Research Initiative.

Events will be held at the pavilion for the next two weeks. See the complete programme.

Visitors in Paris who are accredited are welcome to stop by the pavilion New Nordic Climate Solutions, located in the Blue Zone, Hall 2B, Room 65 at COP21, Le Bourget, Paris, on Monday 30 November 2016 at 14:15-15:45.
