Nordic Research Conference on Lung Diseases

Researchers from the Nordic and Baltic region meet in Uppsala 26–28 April 2007 to discuss recent research developments on widespread diseases like COPD, Asthma and Lung Cancer.
The Nordic Lung Congress takes place in Uppsala 26-28 April. The congress programme covers health challenges of considerable importance in a public health perspective. Sessions are held on central topics like COPD in the Nordic countries, lung transplantation and Nordic scientific cooperation.

State of the art on tuberculosis will also be presented at the congress. The spread of resistant tuberculosis microbes is increasing, and the problem exists in the Baltic region today. However, several programmes aimed at fighting the spread of tuberculosis are already running, and diagnostics are promising.

The Nordic Lung Congress is held every second year and provides a unique opportunity for physicians, researchers, nurses, physiotherapists and other related health professions to share experiences in respiratory health care and research from the Nordic perspective.
