Nordic tables laid in St. Petersburg

The Nordic countries present their culinary dimension in St. Petersburg 17-21 September 2007. The objective of the Nordic Food Week is to raise awareness of Nordic food and food culture in Russia and also emphasise the connection between food, health and wellbeing.
The food week is organised by the Nordic Council of Ministers, NordForsk and Nordic Innovations Centre. Over 30 businesses or organisations from the Nordic countries are taking part in the event.

Finland’s Minister for Nordic Co-operation, Jan Vapaavuori, Minister of Health, Paula Risikko, and the Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers, Halldór Ásgrímsson, will all be speakers at seminars held during the food week.

The goal is to promote the activities of the Nordic food industry in Russia and create a network between Nordic and Russian food companies.
