Norway: New centres for research and innovation

Norway‘s Minister of education and research Øystein Djupedal recently presented 14 new centres for research and innovation. This is Norway‘s effort to strengthen the cooperation between research and research-active industry.
58 applicants competed for the 14 prestigious grants.
"I expect this grant to contribute to increased long-term research investments in the industry. This grant scheme will strengthen the contact between excellent research environments in academia and the industry. This is important in order to build up knowledge and competence that can ensure welfare and economic growth, says Øystein Djupedal.
