Norwegian Minister for Nordic Co-operation paid a visit

17.02.2010
The Norwegian Minister for Nordic Co-operation, Rigmor Aasrud, paid a visit to the Nordic institutions Nordic Innovation Centre, Nordic Energy Research and NordForsk last Monday. The Minister was impressed by the extensive activities of the three institutions.
The meeting allowed for dialogue on different aspects of the Nordic collaboration. – It is a hidden secret that three institutions under the auspices of the Nordic Council of Ministers are localised in Oslo, said Ivar H. Kristensen, Managing Director of Nordic Innovation Centre. Minister Aasrud stated that she looks forward to following the work of the three Nordic institutions in the future.

Last Friday, Minister Aasrud had a meeting with the Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers, Halldór Ásgrímsson, in Oslo. Cross-border freedom of movement, linguistic challenges and strengthening the Nordic collaboration were key areas of the dialogue. Aasrud pointed out the strategic importance of the Nordic collaboration, and demonstrated a strong wish to develop this even further in the future.
