Norwegian research an EU success

The European Commission har measured the success of the participating countries in the 6th Frame Programme, and Norway tops the list. 26,1 percent of the Norwegian applicants receive funding.
This result places Norway ahead of countries such as Belgium, France, the Netherlands and Switzerland. Approximately 150 000 institutions compete for this funding. From Norway, the pericipants represent institutes (35 percent), the industry (31 percent), the university sector (22 percent) and others (12 percent).

EU‘s 6th Frame Programme for research and technological development started in 2003. The overview now presented includes the success rates of the different countries until May 2005.
