Eygló Harðardóttir is appointed Minister for Nordic Co-operation in the new Icelandic government.

Eygló Harðardóttir has her political roots in the Progressive Party, called 'Framsóknarflokkur' in Icelandic. In addition to the post of Minister for Nordic Co-operation she doubles as Minister for Social Affairs and Housing.

Eygló Harðardóttir has worked in the Icelandic Parliament Alltinget since 2008 in several different areas relevant for Nordic co-operation, for example, welfare issues, education, culture and the environment.
