Over 1000 projects receive funding from Swedish Research Council

In a pressrelease the Swedish Research Council states that 1,7 billion SEK will be granted to 1200 Swedish research environments during the next three years.
In a pressrelease the Swedish Research Council states that 1,7 billion SEK will be granted to 1200 Swedish research environments during the next three years.

-It is a pleasure to be able to fund this many new research projects of high quality. However, unfortunately we had to reject many good projects that really deserve funding, says Director General Pär Omling of the Swedish Research Council.

The funding is distributed in the following manner:
  • 970 million for natural sciences and technology
  • 405 million for medical research
  • 219 million for social sciences and the humanities
  • 137 million have already been granted for educational sciences
