Research on primary industries to Nordic Research Board

Nordic Council of Ministers has decided to connect research on fishery, agriculture, forestry and food, with the new organisation Nordic Research Board.
The decision was taken after a thorough process including investigation, evaluation and a proposal of reorganization. The council of Ministers underlines that research in these areas will benefit from being seen in a larger research context. The Council of Ministers also agreed to improve the integration between the national and the Nordic research policy.

The Council of Ministers underlines the positive development of research on food and forestry. These areas will therefore be given preference to.
