Sweden invests in steel research

Vinnova and the Swedish Steel Producers‘ Association are managing a steel research program from 2007 to 2012. The cost of 240 million SEK is split between the Swedish government and the steel industry.
" The steel research programme consists of good scientific quality within strategically chosen areas where the industry has great needs. In addition, a considerable part will be invested in radically innovative high risk projects. In total, this will probably create growth, work and products of high refining value, says Vinnova‘s Director General, Per Erikson.
