NordForsk is announcing funding for two separate initiatives under the Nordic Neutron Science Programme: Research school and Research projects. The application deadline is 22 June 2016, 14.00 CEST. A total of NOK 48 million in funding is available under the two calls.

New programme for Nordic neutron research


The European Spallation Source (ESS) is currently under construction in Lund and can begin working in 2019. To ensure that the Nordic region has well-trained researchers ready to begin using the highly advanced microscope, a joint Nordic programme for neutron research was initiated in 2015 by Denmark, Norway and Sweden together with NordForsk.

New call for proposals: NOK 10 million for Nordic neutron science


The Joint Nordic Neutron Science Programme focuses on competence-building in the field of neutron science. The programme is now issuing its first call for proposals, “Capacity-building projects”, under which a total of NOK 10 million is available for allocation to Nordic researchers. The application deadline is 3 February 2016.
