CERES: Nordic network on Choices, Resources and Encounters in Russia and other European post-socialist states

CERES enhances the Nordic perspective on Russian and East European Studies, focusing on the current situation in Russia and other post-socialist states in Europe.

The analysis focuses on three main themes: choices, resources and encounters.

All members of CERES approach these common themes from their own perspective and through their various research projects, research groups and initiatives. This strengthens the national characteristics but also offers more sophisticated divergences in the intra-field approaches.

The research conducted by these institutes relies on methodological traditions of sociology, history, political science and the humanities.

The CERES network develops training courses and creates more possibilities for young researchers to exchange ideas on methodological, theoretical and empirical issues.
