Development of Peer Review in the Nordic Context

The project charts current activities and experiences with peer review method in research evaluations in all Nordic countries and evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of the method as it is used today.

The project charts current activities and experiences with peer review method in research evaluations in all Nordic countries and evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of the method as it is used today. It identifies examples of good practices in the use of peer review. Based on this groundwork, the project seeks to develop a set of principles for the use of peers in assessment and evaluation of research and research applications, and to develop a Nordic network for planning joint Nordic peer review activities and for organising Nordic expert panels to evaluate research grant applications.
