Gendering Asia Network

In the current globalised world, high-quality research-based knowledge of Asia is increasingly relevant, both theoretically and to solve practical problems. Fuller understandings can be achieved by including a gender dimension in the study of these phenomena. The aim of the Gendering Asia Network is to strengthen research in the combined field of Asian studies.

The network will provide the basis for interaction and exchange among established researchers, postdoctoral researchers and PhD students, offering research training for PhD students and developing collaborative research projects and publications.

In addition to traditional face-to-face interaction in the form of workshops and smaller research group meetings, networking will be based on virtual interaction using the NIAS Linc Barha electronic networking system.
