Nordic Network of Narrative Studies

The Nordic Network of Narrative Studies aims to bring together different strands of Nordic based research on narrative production and use. Theoretical knowledge is combined with textual analysis.

Narratologists from Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Estonia cooperate to unify different areas of expertise such as literary, art and media studies, history, semiotics, psychology, and social science.

The network will establish closer contacts between academia and society by supplying narratological tools for problem formulation and decision support in different areas of society life. In order to achieve their goals, the network organises meetings, workshops and conferences.
