Nordic Network for German Idealism (NNGI)

NNGI is an inter-nordic collaborative research group dedicated to the promotion of serious scholarly study of classical German philosophy broadly understood.

Among other things, the network will study how German Idealism has influenced modern philosophy, exploring the contemporary relevance of classical German philosophy, and developing new and interesting lines of research.

NNGI’s main project is to investigate the concept of “Geist” (”Spirit”) as developed in the philosophical writings of thinkers such as Kant, Fichte, Schelling, Hegel and Kierkegaard.
