A Ph.D or Post.Doc position at the Danish Cancer Society, Institute of Cancer Epidemiology, Department of Diet, Cancer and Health is vacant for 3 years, with possible prolongation for 2 more years. The Danish Cancer Society will be the coordinating center of the 6 Nordic NCoE HELGA partners.
A position at the Danish Cancer Society, Institute of Cancer Epidemiology, Department of Diet, Cancer and Health as Ph.D. student or Post.Doc. in nutritional epidemiology with special focus on the health effects of whole grain is vacant for 3 years, with possible prolongation for 2 more years.

As part of the Nordic Centre of Excellence Programme on Food, Nutrition and Health, co-financed by NordForsk and the National Research Councils, the Department of Diet, Cancer and Health has obtained funding for the 5-year Nordic collaborative project: Nordic Health - whole grain food (HELGA) - Project number 070015. The Danish Cancer Society will be the coordinating center of the 6 Nordic co-operating partners.

Job description
The tasks will include:
- Epidemiologic research with focus on diet and health effects based on prospective cohort questionnaire data and biomarkers for whole grain intake,
- Project administration, reporting and coordination.
- Dissemination of results within HELGA, in other scientific settings as well as towards the public.

Depending on qualifications, supervision of younger researchers may also be part of the job.
Close collaboration forming a virtual centre of joint objectives between the 6 Nordic complementary research groups will involve some travel activity between the centers.

Qualification requirements
The candidate should be qualified in nutritional epidemiology, data handling and statistical analysis. Additionally, the candidate must be motivated for collaboration, appreciate team work, and wish to become part of a very dynamic research team.
Based on experience and qualifications the position could either be defined as a Ph.D. study or as a Post.Doc. position.
