Nordic Information for Action eScience Centre (NIASC)

Der er brug for at udvikle computerbaserede værktøjer til at styre og analysere data fra helseregistre og biobanker. Herigennem kan vi nemlig blive bedre til at beregne sygdomsrisici. Ved at udvikle e-videnskabs-værktøjer er der grundlag for at skræddersy mere kosteffektive og præcise helse-services, både i forhold til diagnosticering og behandling.

A Nordic Rheumatology Register Pilot to facilitate collaborative studies based on linkages of clinical data with national health

The objective of this proposal is to pilot different technical solutions to enable Nordic collaborative research based on linkage of clinical registers to national health- and socio-economy registers. Chronic inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and spondylarthritis confer substantial individual suffering and significant economic burdens to health care and society, and exemplify the increasing challenges for welfare societies through rapid introduction of targeted therapies for diseases characterized by high costs and uncertain “optimal” treatment. To address these challenges, sufficiently large study populations combined with clinical detail are needed, calling for novel research infrastructures.

Applied methodologies for improved exchange between atmospheric e-science Infrastructures at high latitudes

This project aims to teach next generation of scientists to integrate different eScience tools and infrastructures to achieve a more holistic interpretation of the climate system and its components. This initiative will make use of existing infrastructures, such as model and observational data evaluation portals, atmospheric data bases, visualization tools and data analysis and statistical tools.
