The group was given the task to identify suitable actions that could increase the use of the unique registers and biobanks in and between the Nordic countries, and thereby strengthening Nordic cooperation on register-based research. The group was active 2011-2014.
A final report “Joint Nordic Registers and Biobanks – A goldmine for health and welfare research” with recommendations for joint actions was published in 2014 (NordForsk Policy Paper 5-2014).
