The Joint Committee for Nordic Research Councils in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NOS-HS) received 106 applications under the call for funding for NOS-HS Exploratory Workshops 2022. The NOS-HS committee has now selected the 33 projects that will receive funding.
Around 40 percent of the project leaders who have sent applications are female, and around 60 percent are men. All Nordic countries including the Åland Islands, Greenland and the Faroe Islands are represented in the pile of applications.
NordForsk’s organisational performance has been excellent since 2018 and has developed to a relevant and useful platform for Nordic collaboration on initiating Nordic research collaboration. That is the main conclusion in the evaluation of NordForsk.
With a new call The Joint Committee for Nordic research councils in the Humanities and Social Sciences (NOS-HS) and NordForsk want to encourage young researchers to establish networks early in their careers which in turn, hopefully, will lead to more Nordic collaboration in a longer perspective.
