About the speakers

Ingvild Stakkevold Reymert is Head of Department at the Oslo Business School, Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet) and has a PhD in Political Science from the University of Oslo. Her fields of research are public policy analysis and organizational studies with a special focus on research policy and higher education studies. In her research she aim to understand the steering of public sector such as universities and research institutions. She has been investigating how we can understand academic recruitment processes, the use of bibliometrics in science, trust in peer review, researchers’ engagement in third mission activities such as dissemination and industry collaboration, mergers between higher education institutions and researchers’ collaboration in research groups.

Simon Jernroth is analytics officer at NordForsk, where he leads analytics for measuring and reporting research impact across and in collaboration with actors the Nordic region. Trained as a social psychologist at the University of Helsinki, he is currently pursuing a PhD in Social Data Science at the University of Copenhagen, where his research focuses on how policymakers relate to, absorb, interpret, and use scientific knowledge and what pathways the knowledge takes to reach them.
