QUINT’s aims

Strengthening Nordic education through research and practice.

  • Teaching quality: Comparative classroom studies across Nordic countries, capturing interaction, engagement, and teaching–learning processes in different subjects and contexts.
  • e-Infrastructure: Building a shared video data platform to enable joint analysis, comparative research, theory development, and dissemination.
  • Professional learning: Developing video-based arenas for teacher professional development and collaborative research with tailored practitioner involvement.
  • Teacher education: Innovating video-based models for pre-service teacher training, bridging research and classroom practice.

Together, these themes have strengthened both the scientific foundation and the practical relevance of educational research in the Nordic region, with lasting benefits for teachers, students, and policymakers.
