Fish do not live in isolation but interact with other fish species and the marine environment. It is too narrow to look at only one fish stock at a time when setting catch quotas. New research takes a broader perspective and examines how we can ensure sustainable fishing in the Norwegian Sea.
The overall aim of HI2OT is to promote Nordic collaboration in IIoT, which will increase the capacity of the participating organizations and create the critical mass needed to establish a world-leading Nordic research environment on IIoT.
This NordForsk Policy Brief is about the idea of ‘Nordic Added Value’, namely the justificationfor acting at the Nordic level, in relation to research. It explores the changing meanings of the ‘added value’ of cooperation in research at both the Nordic and European levels. It shows that the Nordic cooperation in practice already strong and considers the implications of possible futures on the continuing value and effectiveness of the cooperation.
