Women’s health has historically been under-researched across several disease areas, and important knowledge gaps remain regarding sex and gender differences in disease presentation, treatment outcomes, health service use and health inequalities. By bringing together research environments across the Nordic and Baltic countries, the call aims to strengthen the knowledge base and contribute to more equitable health and welfare systems.
The overarching aim of the call is to strengthen and support high-quality research on women’s health in the Nordic-Baltic region.
The call is intended to complement and enhance existing national efforts and contribute to more equitable health and welfare systems that better address women’s needs across the Nordic-Baltic region.
