The PERAID project proposes to implement personalized medicine (PM) in severe infectious diseases, specifically focusing on the life-threatening necrotizing soft tissue infections (NSTI) as well as the large heterogeneous group of sepsis patients.
A total of 28 grant applications were submitted under the call entitled “Nordic societal security in light of the emerging global and regional trends”. Four of the projects have now been granted funding from a total budget of NOK 44 million.
This report summarises key research findings and their implications for educational policies in the Nordic countries. It concludes the first phase of the initiative, which has entered into a second phase focusing on bridging the gap between research and practice.
The GUESSED project uses avalanche terrain as a test-bed for developing theories and tools – which will have an impact far beyond the snow covered mountains in the Nordic Countries.
